Mini Excavators for Landscaping Contractors
Compare Qisheng mini excavators for landscaping by the access route, excavation depth and tools your jobs require. The QS-12, QS-18 and QS-25 provide three starting points in the current catalog. Send your site measurements to request a model and attachment quotation.

Start With the Smallest Opening on Your Route
A garden gate may be wider than the passage beyond it. Measure the narrowest opening along the complete route, overhead obstructions and the space available to turn and position the machine. Tell us whether the surface is lawn, paving, gravel or exposed ground.
The dimensions below come from Qisheng’s October 9, 2026 catalog. They describe the listed configuration, rather than every possible cab or track option.
| Model to compare | Catalog overall width | Maximum digging depth | Listed digging bucket width |
|---|---|---|---|
| QS-12 series | 940 mm | 1,760 mm | 400 mm |
| QS-18 series | 1,160 mm | 2,100 mm | 400 mm |
| QS-25 series | 1,300 mm | 2,600 mm | 420 mm |
A width that fits on paper does not establish a safe travel route. Allow for the blade, attachment, turning space and site conditions, and confirm the quoted machine’s actual dimensions. Maximum digging depth also does not describe the entire working envelope: reach and bucket position still matter.
Build a Package Around Your Main Landscaping Work
For planting beds and small excavations, specify the cut width, soil and space for placing excavated material. The standard catalog bucket is a useful starting point; it does not establish the availability or suitability of a different bucket width.
For drainage, send the required bottom depth and trench width, rather than only the pipe diameter. Where a trench runs beside a wall or fence, ask whether boom swing is available on the chosen configuration and request its actual working dimensions.
For cleanup, a rake or suitable bucket may help separate or collect material. A tool photograph does not establish the machine’s ability to remove a mature stump or handle a suspended load. Describe the material and intended operation before selecting an attachment.
| Your regular work | Information to send | Package item to discuss |
|---|---|---|
| Garden excavation | Access, soil and cut dimensions | Digging bucket matched to the job |
| Drainage trenches | Bottom depth, trench width and working position | Bucket dimensions and boom arrangement |
| Surface cleanup | Material type and required finish | Rake or an appropriate cleanup bucket |
| Repeated tool changes | Attachment models and mounting dimensions | Compatible quick hitch and connections |
A Restricted-Access Planning Example
Suppose a landscaping contractor measures a 1,050 mm straight opening and needs an excavation bottom 1,600 mm below the machine’s working level. These are assumed project measurements, not a completed customer case.
The QS-12’s catalog width of 940 mm leaves 110 mm total nominal clearance through that opening, or 55 mm on each side if centered. Its listed maximum digging depth is 1,760 mm. Those two measurements make it a candidate for further assessment. The QS-18 and QS-25 exceed the assumed opening width in their listed configurations.
Before accepting the QS-12, confirm blade and attachment clearance, turning space, reach at the required depth, ground support and the exact delivered specification. This comparison does not approve the machine for the route or excavation.
Choose Options That Solve a Site Requirement
The supplied catalog includes hydraulic pilot controls, boom swing, retractable tracks, canopy or enclosed cab, engine or power options and custom color. Availability and combinations need confirmation for the selected model.
Retractable tracks require two verified widths, including any relevant blade-width change. A cab requires its own height and weight information. Rubber tracks do not guarantee that turf or paving will remain undamaged; turning, load and ground condition also affect the result.
For transport planning, request the actual operating and shipping weights, attachment weights and packing dimensions. The current catalog does not provide a verified operating-weight table, so a model’s tonnage label should not be used as a trailer-payload figure.
Request a Landscaping Package Quote
Send your narrowest access measurement, overhead clearance, typical excavation depth, soil, main attachments and preferred engine or operator-station configuration. Include the destination country and convenient receiving port so the machine, optional equipment and freight can be quoted separately.
